Talk About It
Axillary hyperdrosis
The basic complaint at axillary hyperdrosis is the raised sweating in axillary area and as consequence an unpleasant smell and damage of clothes by moisture. Such symptoms can lead to the expressed psychoemotional problems. Axillary hyperdrosis very seldom happens isolated, it is often combined with palmar and also can become complicated an erythrasma – the superficial pseudo-mycosis which originator is Corynebacterium minutissimum.
It amazes the top part of a cornual layer of a false skin. The contributing factor is the raised sweating. It is usually observed at adults, more often at men. Primary localization is large cords, especially inguinofemoral. The clinical picture is characterized by occurrence of large brick-red maculae roundish form, more rare with edges which are sharply delimited from a surrounding skin, with a smooth surface. Subjective sensations are absent.
Plantar hyperdrosis:
As well as all kinds of idiopathic hyperdrosis plantar one is a consequence of hyperactivity of nervous system and it is often combined with palmar hyperdrosis. Such patients complain of an unpleasant smell. However before to diagnose the plantar hyperdrosis it is necessary to exclude other possible reasons of a sweating of feet: wearing of synthetic socks, poor-quality footwear, stay in conditions of the raised temperature and humidity.
Secondary local hyperdrosis:
Before to make the conclusions that the person suffers with idiopathic local hyperdrosis, it is necessary to exclude secondary hyperdrosis:
• Hyperdrosis bound to food intake, arises after reception of hot liquid and more often of spicy food, it is localized in the field of a forehead and an upper lip, the pathogenesis is unknown;
• Lucy Frey’s syndrome is a combination of an erubescence and the strengthened diaphoresis. Can arise after the transferred parotitis, surgical operation on a sialaden or its damages;
• a syndrome of a drum-type cord – intensifying of a diaphoresis in the field of a chin in reply to a gustatory boring – arises after a trauma;
• neurologic disturbances:
• neuro syphilis is a damage of nervous fibers of back roots of a spinal cord;
• the stroke when the hyperdrosis is bound to disturbance of the center of a thermoregulation;
• the hereditary reasons:
• a syndrome of Jadestone – hyperkeratosis of palms and feet with their expressed hyperdrosis;
• the Beech syndrome is the hereditary and is autosomal-dominant disease;
• the chronic dermatitis characterized by a sweating of a nose and near by areas of the person with an erubescence and presence of fine pink papules;
• erytromelalgia characterized by paroxysmal expansion of arterioles, thermalgias, hyperalgesia;
• a syndrome of Cassirer – the acrotrophoneurosis of an unknown etiology shown as cyanosis of a skin of extremities, a hypesthesia of fingers in a cold season, more often it affects young women;
• a dark blue spongiform nevus is a hemangioma version for which are characteristic local hyperdrosis and night pains.

• axillary;
• the facial;
• Generalized.

• serious degree – appreciable social problems: the wet clothes, a sweat smell lead to that associates start to avoid contacts to such person.
4. On a current:
• the intermittent;
• the seasonal;

Idiopathic local hyperdrosis.
Idiopathic hyperdrosis is more extended than the secondary. It has generalized or more often local character in one or several anatomic areas (a palm, soles, axillas, feet). Develops at children’s or teenage age and accompanies the person throughout all life. It is interesting that, as a rule, a diaphoresis more is intensive on the right party of a body.
Idiopathic local hyperdrosis (especially easy severity level) quite often passes independently, but is also possible in the absence of correction transition in the chronic form. Concerning the reasons of occurrence of idiopathic hyperdrosis there are inconsistent opinions. Some scientists consider that at such people the quantity of sweat glands is enlarged, others – that the quantity of glands isn’t changed, but their reaction to usual stimulus is considerably strengthened, as leads to the raised sweating. The most powerful provoking factor of an exacerbation idiopathic hyperdrosis is stress. The condition of patients can worsen in hot weather, however during a sleeps superfluous diaphoresis, as a rule, completely stops. The help in diagnostics can render presence of local hyperdrosis at members of a family of the patient: about 40 % of patients note presence of a similar phenomenon at one of parents.
Facial hyperdrosis:

Often facial hyperdrosis is combined with palmar and blushing syndrom, characterized be occurrence of red maculae on the face or a generalized hyperemia of the face that also is bound to hyperreactivity of nervous system.
Palmar hyperdrosis:
The most frequent form of hyperdrosis is characterized by the strengthened diaphoresis on a skin of palms. Palmar hyperdrosis happens due to the source of stress and the serious social problem bound to professional work (there are difficulties at deduction of slippery subjects, performance of exact movements or professional manipulations, at work with the handle and papers – because of wet traces and maculae).
